help the hurricane

clayton and i put our plan into motion today. well, it's my idea and clayton is my sidekick for the event, i think that the two of us might actually pull this off.

so, this is our idea:

a night at the jeff where the servers donate all of their tips to the Red Cross so that it will go towards hurricane relief. we think that making it public that we are going to donate our tips will generate more money then giving like 10% of food sales. the inn will make money this way too, because they will make bank on food sales that night. through newspapers, school annoucments, flyers and word of mouth we think that we can get a lot of people to come to this dinner. we would serve a limited menu, as to not overwhelm the kitchen and this event would create great PR for the inn not to mention a lot of repeat business if thinks go off well. the only area that we might have trouble would be in getting servers to volunteer to do this. but we think that if we do this dinner on a tuesday or wednesday night, then a server wouldn't be giving up at night of sales in which they would normally be making a lot of money. we would also have drinks specials and a place at the bar to make donations for people that would like to help but that don't have the time to stay for a meal. with the caring and helping nature of amhesrt, i think that this could really be pulled off. i'm super excited to get a chance at work to prove that i can do something like this.
